Abdulrahman Rashed Alogaily, Doctoral Student
Abdulrahman is conducting a study titled as An Investigative Study of the Effectiveness of Research Education Methods and Make a Contribution to Educational Tools That Enhance Knowledge and Learning of Research Design and Methodology. The proposed study would develop and test the effectiveness of a single concept map via a graphic organizer to communicate the multiple components of research deign and methodology to research students. In the first step, research will be conducted to design an effective model and tool that integrates the central components of research design and methodology. In the second step, the model will be validated by asking a group of experts (research experts, instructional design experts, and graphical experts) to develop a consensus about the elements and effectiveness of the model and its practicality for use in research learning environments. Based on the feedback of experts, the model will be modified and tested with students taking a research methods course at the Ph.D. and master level to determine if there is positive impact of the graphic organizer on their research expertise and competencies.
